I cant tell if he likes me or not! :( help!?

i cant tell if this guy likes me but i definitely know i like him. we sit across each other from one another in class and i sit sideways because it comfortable but i always find myself looking back at him and when i do we always make eye contact and smile. we make funny faces at each other and he winks at me occasionally and he makes these really cute kiss faces at me and stuff like that. we joke around a lot too and he kind of implicitly said to me that he wishes he could dump his prom date and take me, problem is that he is generally a really nice guy and jokes around a lot with a bunch of people but i dont know him like that enough to say if he does it with all girls! :( i really like him though and its kind of weird becuase hes a popular 'hot' guy and im not really that groupie so we dont hang out all that much but when we do i cant tell if he acts more flirty with me or not. so what do i do and how can i tell if he actually likes me or if its just him.
